Black Lake is found in the North Fork Big Pine Creek drainage, in the John Muir Wilderness. It provides a superb view of Temple Crags on the left, Mt Sill in the center, with North Palisade and Thunderbolt Peak on the right. I hiked up and camped out here specifically to take this picture at sunrise. Looks like it was a worthwhile endeavor!
