This is also known as Humphrey's Basin. In early June I climbed Peak 12,228' and had a look around. All the lakes are still frozen this time of year, but spring will begin in another month. As far as I could see in any direction, I was totally alone out here. What a nice feeling. For people accustomed to the city, the quiet out here is overwhelming.
